Wedding #3 — September 10th 2022

We knew from the moment that we gave Tabitha and Jeff their very first tour that they were the most lovely genuine people and that their wedding day would be a true reflection of that. The wedding day came and we were blown away by how their families came together to help them in preparation for their big day. The amount of thought and effort that went into making this day seamless was incredible. Tabitha’s brother came to place their decor items on the day of with such attention to detail. I can’t count the number of times he came up to Andy and I and asked if there was anything he could help with throughout the wedding day. Jeff brought his beautiful old truck which made for some of the most stunning photos along the laneway.Tabitha engraved each and every place setting card customized with each guest's name. Every personal touch and effort that went into making their day special was so admirable. Tabitha decided early on that she wanted to leave the majority of the decor simplistic to let the surrounding nature shine. As you can tell by the photo gallery below – you don’t always need incredibly extravagant decor. At the end of the day, it's your energy that truly makes for a beautiful day.

Early on in the wedding planning stages Tabitha reached out to us asking if they could spend their wedding night on the property, and that it would be a surprise for her soon to be husband. Of course we agreed. So, a few days prior to Jeff and Tabtitha’s big day Tabitha and her maid of honor, Angela, came to the venue to set up a stargazer dome at the end of the laneway close to the river that she would surprise Jeff with on the night of their wedding. Tabitha and Angela took on the project of setting the tent up which took longer than they expected, but nonetheless they got it done and it was ready to go for the big day. The sun set, the party finished, and the guests got on the shuttle bus. Tabitha took Jeff down the laneway. Jeff had no idea that he would spend the night in a beautiful tent decorated with twinkling lights looking up at the stars with his now wife.

Aside from cleanup the following day, the wedding day had passed and we said our thank you’s and goodbye’s and thought that would be the last we’d see of everyone. Fast forward 5 months. Andy and I are at Southlake Hospital in the delivery room getting ready to meet our beautiful baby girl. The delivery nurse says “I recognize you from somewhere, where did you grow up?” We exchange our backgrounds, and come to the conclusion that it can’t be from growing up. She comes and goes throughout the next few hours. Finally she comes in and says “I remember where I know you from! I was the maid of honor at a wedding at Stevenson Estate this past summer”. And that’s when it all clicked! It was Angela, Tabitha’s maid of honor! What a small world! The following day we had to take baby Charlotte back to Southlake to do some checkups and of course we met with none other than Tabitha herself! Angela and Tabitha are some of the very first people to ever meet Charlotte and to have taken such good care of us! We will forever have those memories and association with Tabitha and Jeff’s incredible wedding day.

Today we are wishing the Bousher’s a very happy one year anniversary! We are so thankful that you chose our venue to host your wedding day. We look forward to hopefully running into you unexpectedly again in the future as well as having you back at Stevenson Estate again soon! Wishing you happiness and health in all the years to come as husband and wife!
