Wedding #6 – October 1st 2022

The Burbidges – the couple that had the best kept secret… to be announced on the evening of their wedding. During one of the venue visits prior to their wedding day, Haley & Cody, let us in on the surprise that they had planned for their guests. Something so special that Haley & I had in common, that we could bond over – we were SO excited for them.

When their wedding weekend arrived, both families assisted with set up. Having created a lot of their own decor including a large backdrop for behind the head table consisting of white curtains and twinkling lights, a photo backdrop full of green leaves and a full sized polaroid picture frame, customized bean bag toss boards with their wedding details, and a champagne wall to welcome all of their guests. Then came the rehearsal. After running through their ceremony and all the logistics they brought their bridal party down to the pole barn where they had a box waiting for each member of the bridal party. In each box was the announcement of their wonderful news.

After the most beautiful ceremony, cocktail hour & dinner they had all of their guests move into the original barn to play the well known “ wedding shoe game” to kick off the late night dance party. A series of questions were asked in which Haley & Cody held up either Haley or Cody’s shoe depending on who corresponded with the question being asked. The very last question was “who’s having a baby” to which both Haley & Cody immediately held up both shoes, revealing their wonderful news of their little one on the way!!

The energy in the room exploded. You could really feel how important family is to the Burbidges & the Swans. You could feel the amount of love that surrounds Haley, Cody and the soon to be little Burbidge.

Today we want to wish Haley & Cody a very happy one year anniversary. We are so grateful that you chose stevenson estate as the location for such an important piece to your puzzle. We are ecstatic to have been on such a similar timeline and journey with our little ones due just a few weeks apart! You are an absolutely beautiful couple and we’re confident you are even better parents to mini Burbidge. We wish you the absolute best and are excited to see what life has in store for you and your little family! As Haley’s mom, Karen, said in her speech – “may your love story continue with each and every passing year.”
